At this point in the year, it´s probably a judgment call.

>>>>Could someone please clarify what "until the age of 17 years in the compulsory school age law means? The law states, "From time the child enters school, ´which shall not be later than the age of eight (8) years, until the age of seventeen (17) years´

If your child is 17, they are no longer under the compulsory attendance law. Once a child turns 17, school attendance is voluntary.

>>>>Since my daughter turned 17 at the beginning of 2008, if we continue homeschooling for the remaining two years of high school, are we required to follow the homeschooling requirements for PA?

No, you are not. There are pros and cons to registering as a home ed student. See my "compulsory school age" web page for a discussion of this.

>>>>While it sounds like we are trying to get out of following rules, we are not, we just want to know what is required.

It is always wise to know what is required by law and what is optional.
