My daughter is 7 years old for the 2008-2009 school year, but she has skipped a grade and we will be doing 3rd grade material this year. The law states we donīt have to start reporting/affidavits, etc. until they are 8 years old, but they have to take the standardized test in 3rd grade. So, can I still wait to report her next year (when she is 8)and just make sure she takes the standardized test this year and keep the results to report for next year or do I have to report her because weīre doing third grade although she is not 8. Want to follow the law, but it is unclear to me and honestly, if I donīt have to go through reporting her, affidavit, etc. Iīd rather not start until I absolutely have to. I hope this makes sense. Please advise if anyone knows the answer!! Thanks in advance
