We live in the Reading School District and plan to homeschool our son for 7th grade. We have chosen to use the planned courses the district uses. I was upset at first that the curriculum office basically rejected my planned objectives. However, when I examined the planned courses, I found they virtually mirrored my objectives and was quite pleased with them. Since the gym courses cover team sports, and being our son has a spectrum disorder that entail not such great motor skills, can we opt for a more "user-friendly" activity? He wants to take karate classes which would be of an enormous bigger benefit than basketball and flag football! Thanks for any help!
