BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The day after a mother was able to save her two-year-old child from the family pool she talking about the frightening experience.HowardMichelle Mellow says she couldn´t beleive it when she saw her son floating in the pool.
Wednesday he was playing in the front yard with his brothers and sister showing no ill effects of his fall into the pool, where CPR had to be performed as he wasn´t breathing after fallling in.
"We knew cpr and that´s probably the only thing that saved us," Mellow said.
The mellow´s have a fenced in pool with an auto latching gate, but the children know how to shake the gate to open it up.
So, while she was working on homeschooling one of her other children the two-year-old opened the gate and fell in....
