What do you do with magazines or newsletters you have loved, but don´t read any more? I´m trying to de-clutter my home, including (YES, REALLY!) BOOKS!
Everything was going well (breezily tossing books into different piles (give to friends, take to Goodwill, sell on ebay, etc) when I came across our wonderful old PA Homeschoolers newsletters - about 12 years´ worth, from 1993 to 2005. I re-read a few articles, then a few more...yes, I´d love to re-read them all...but all my girls have graduated from college, and have moved on...and so must I! I enjoyed reading those articles today, but will probably never read them again!
So, "retired" homeschooling moms, what should I do? Give them away to a fellow homeschooler (except the only ones I meet now are also "retired"!), send them to the Westmoreland yearly book sale, or keep them, just in case my twins come back home and scream, "you did WHAT???" Although I have the feeling they probably wouldn´t even notice. And Sophia did tell me one day, "Mom, stop asking us if we want to keep things - you know we´ll say yes! Just get rid of them!" :-)
Another consideration is -- should I keep them in case the girls decide to homeschool their kids? Will they them come to me and ask for the newsletters? There are such great articles in them. However,PA Homeschoolers Newsletter will go on for ever, hopefully -- so I could just tell them that those *old* ones are gone, but offer to buy them a subscription! :-)
