Thanks for posting here, Lea. I´m afraid that we cannot let the reading specialist take on any role other than being in the testing room and being able to smile encouragingly from across the room. We cannot provide extra timing, or for the reading specialist to read aloud the reading passages, etc. If you feel that you need truly individual testing, which would meet your daughter´s needs perhaps a bit better, than I´d suggest seeing if her reading tutor could administer one of the individual achievement tests-- or see if you can find someone else who might offer this type of service. In the large group testing service that we are able to offer, I´m afraid we cannot offer this type of accomodation.
In another month we will be able to offer the individualized Woodcock Johnson Individualized Achievement Test-- but it is ´backordered´ from the testing company right now, and we do not have it available on this trip, I´m afraid.
Re/ calculators-- they are allowed during the 2nd math subtest, which focuses on word problems. The emphasis here is not on particularly challenging computation, but on challenging problem solving where it might not be immediately clear to a student just what operation or sequence of operations they should use. There is first a shorter subtest focusing more on calculation (still with some word problems)-- on this section calculators are NOT allowed.
Sorry we can´t offer more help at this time,
