Two homeschooled teens from AL make finals in cotton jingle contest

The two homeschooled girls, aged 17 and 18, were at a local mall, where they discovered a competition to sing a jingle sponsored by “Cotton, The Fabric of Our Lives.” They entered on the spot, were recorded in a little booth that had been set up in a mall, and sometime later, they got a notice that a video of their recording made the top five finalists in the nation. Here´s a selection from an Alabama newspaper about their background:

Brittany, 17, and Nicole, 18, are no strangers to the stage. They started performing when they were about six and seven at their church, The Foundation of Jesus, here in Cullman.

“We lead the worship services, and we sing at special events,” said Nicole.
