1. There is at least one other one-on-one test on the approved list. You may be able to find someone to administer it. (See the post below mentioned by a previous poster.)
2. Your son might be OK with a mail-order CAT, given one-on-one by a trusted friend or relative. You could remain in the room and stop the test if you felt your son needed to stop.
3. You could explain the situation to your school district and see what they suggest. You might want to get a note from your doctor. One reasonable approach might be to ask to postpone the testing until your son´s doctor feels he is up to it.
4. If you end up testing, you could explain to your son that the results of this test DO NOT MATTER, and that it is essentially just a form you have to fill out for the district. It a glorified worksheet, plain and simple. I would avoid even calling it a test, which is such a loaded term - call it an assessment form if you like.
5. As a previous poster mentioned, you do not need to test through your evaluator - there are many other options.
