The York Daily Record has a regular "roses and thorns" editorial in which they comment on events of the day. Today they awarded "roses" to the state legislature and Gov. Ed Rendell. Here´s the relevant selection:

ROSES: To the state Legislature and Gov. Ed Rendell for approving a bill that requires school districts to allow home-schooled students to participate in extracurricular activities. These kids’ parents pay taxes, too. Keeping them out of school sports or band is just mean-spirited.
