SAT PREP - JONATHAN AMBROSE March 15 2005 at 17:35:16

I've never had to write timed essays, so to prepare for the SAT's, I took this class. If I hadn't done so, the SAT's would have been a disaster - through our teacher's instruction and class interaction, I felt thoroughly prepared for the essay. I worked a good amount of hours each work on prepping myself, and I do believe that this class would be a benefit to anyone who is going to take the new SAT's.

My student spent two to four hours per week on assignment for this cram course, more in the first week and less in the last week.

After the first essay, my student caught on to the "scoring rubric" and was able to write to fit the SAT format.

The deadlines and "competition" provided incentive to practice and to read classmates' work. My child finished the real SAT I essay with a little time to spare and confidence about the grade.
