15^th Annual Central PA Spring Volleyball Tournament

Who can participate:

· Co-ed senior teams (all participants must be age 18 or below as of Sept. 1, 2011)

· Co-ed junior teams (all participants must be age 14 or below as of Sept 1, 2011)

[All participants must be homeschooled or cyber-charter schooled students. Teams play six players at a time including at least 2 boys and 2 girls.]

When:

· Monday, April 9, 2012, 8 AM -- 6 PM.

Those traveling from a distance can arrive as late as 9:20 am and still play a full tournament schedule. You do not need to plan to be there on time since only about a third of the teams will begin to play right away.

Where: Hitchcock Arena (5 courts); Brubaker Auditorium (2 courts), Messiah College, near Harrisburg PA.

· Exit the Pennsylvania Turnpike at the Gettysburg Pike Exit (Exit 236; Rt. 15). Travel approximately 3.5 miles on Route 15 South toward Gettysburg and take the Lisburn Road exit. At the light at the bottom of the ramp, turn left onto Lisburn Road. Follow Lisburn through the next traffic light and up to the stop sign at the top of the hill. Continue straight on Lisburn and turn right onto Grantham Road at the bottom of the hill. Follow Grantham Road straight ahead to the stop sign at the main entrance to the College. Turn Right onto College Avenue. On your left is Hitchcock Arena which is part of the Sollenberger Sports Center. Some of the senior division matches will take place in Brubaker Auditorium which is in the adjacent building (the Eisenhower Campus Center).

How:

· There will be two age groups (Junior and Senior) and several divisions within each age group with A being for better teams who want to play against the best competition and the other letters for less advanced teams. Teams will play all day long (no team will be eliminated). Championships will occur at about 5:00 with an awards ceremony at about 6:00.

Cost:

· Entry fee is $175 per team payable to PA Homeschoolers. Unlike previous years, players will not have to be AAU members in order to participate.

Please register our Senior (circle A B or C) or Junior (circle A or B) team for the April 9, 2012, Central PA tournament. If you are flexible about the division for this team, then circle more than one letter. Tournament Director will adjust division placement to optimize division size.
