Michael Farris of HSLDA stumping for Gov. Huckabee in Iowa

An article by Ed Tibbetts in the Sioux City (IA) Journal reports that Michael Farris, founder of Home School Legal Defense Association, was campaigning for Governor Huckabee in Iowa. Here is the relevant selection:

Before the Republican Party of Iowa´s Straw Poll this summer, Michael Farris, a nationally known advocate for home schooling, came to the state to campaign for former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.

Most people wouldn´t know Farris, but "300 home school people came to see him specifically," says Eric Woolson, the Iowa campaign manager for Huckabee. "We may think in terms of movie, rock star or political celebrity, but there are other types of celebrities, too, who help motivate people to turn out."
