If you can make it to one of the testing sites, I really recommend the testing service provided by PA Homeschoolers (this website). They charge $30 which is about what you would pay for a test you would purchase by yourself.
I had my third grade daughter tested in Harrisburg last spring by the Richmans, and it was a great experience for her. I was concerned about how my daughter would handle her first test, but they made the experience very comfortable, the administrator was very kind, and we came out of it confident that my daughter was not going to be intimidated by the idea of being tested.
I also think it was a good experience for her to take the test in a room with a small group of children her own age, but not nearly so overwhelming as it would have been in a public school setting. All around a great experience which I would highly recommend.
