The above photo accompanies a story by Melissa Turner in today´s Seantobia (MS) Democrat. Here is a selection:
On a chilly March morning recently, John Vinzant could´ve been warm in his house.HowardInstead, he mustered the resources of his family and friends to help make life easier for lots of other Senatobia residents.
Vinzant is striving for his Eagle Scout designation, and, for his community service project, he chose to install a bike rack at the Senatobia Public Library.
He says he chose to help the library because they´d been so helpful to him over the years....
(H)e didn´t do it alone - he had the help of his parents, Tammy and Walt Vinzant, as well as his sisters. The Vinzant children are homeschooled.
And, because it was a school holiday for most members of his Boy Scout Troop, he roused them out of bed to pitch in as well.
While the boys from Troop 77 were busy assembling the rack, his sisters and parents worked to perk up the yard of the library by raking leaves and moving branches to the curb....
