I withdrew my child halfway thru the year in January. I just now get a summons for three absences in a row in December before I withdrew him. I have to go to family court for the truancy even though I no longer send my child to public school. Can they still do this? I am facing possible fines in access of $300, could I possibly be forced to send him back to public school because of this? I know for sure I did send in a letter for the three absenses but cannot provide any proof to that fact. What recourses do I have? Thanks.
