I consider this to be scare tactics. I donīt like to see children ripped from their families; however, they have found that more than half of the girls who were between 14-17 (31 of them) are either pregnant or have had children.

Ideally, there would have been some other way to identify this and other abuse; however, the families were uncooperative, and in the past the sect has been known to flee when investigated too closely.

These people were not investigated because of homeschooling, dressing differently, or their religious beliefs- except to the extent that their religious beliefs encouraged illegal actions.

I think it says a lot that these childrenīs beliefs are being respected even under these circumstances by allowing them to keep their clothing, continue homeschooling, etc.
