I wish I knew the answer too. I had to pull my son out of 9th grade public school in March due to teacher abuse. I had meetings with the school on this issue, spoke to them more than once, even worked with the school counselor and nothing was done. The problem was so bad with this teacher the school district had to put an aide in the classroom with her to teach her classes to try to diffuse the situation...several parents and students complained and she still has her job.
Anyway, because my son was a nervous wreck, we were forced to pull him out, and he really wanted to go to vo tech. He was already signed up, met with the vo tech director, spent the day there and met with instructors too. NOW because heīs homeschooled the school district refused to let him proceed with his vocational technical education!!! I canīt believe this is allowed at all, this ignorance on the behalf of the school district being allowed to say NO will affect him now and in his future career....worst part is the school counselor doesnīt even agree with the super intendants decision, she actually told me it isnīt even a matter of there not being enough room in the program, itīs just the school being ignorant because theyīre allowed to...so itīs now even more obvious to me then before that students and parents have no rights...please if you find anything out let me know, hopefully someone will be able to help us with this issue! good luck to you!
