This is actually the fourth consecutive Westmoreland County Envirothon win for the WEC team. We could also add that the WEC team placed ninth at the state level in each of the past two years -- not just last year.
Most prestigious of all, in their first year at the state competition, they placed first in the oral presentation with a near-perfect score.
Nor is the team from Westmoreland Enrichment Classes the only homeschooled team to place well at the state contest. We have made friends with other homeschool teams who have done better than we have at states.
As in so many other areas, we homeschoolers continue to make inroads. Keep up the good work, all!
