Hello, Howard, and anyone else who might help me with these questions:
In the "Guide to PA Homeschoolers Diploma" booklet, under "Required Courses Checklist", it says that at least 1/2 year of "History of the U.S. and Pennsylvania" is required. Does this mean a minimum of 1/2 year of U.S. history plus a minimum of 1/2 year of Pennsylvania history, or 1/2 year of U.S. and Pennsylvania history together- that is, some combination of the two histories covered over at least 1/2 year? Also, for the "Safety education including fire safety" course- would a first aid course be acceptable for that requirement? If not, would you have any suggestions on how my student could fulfill a half year course on that topic? I´m having a lot of trouble thinking of something a high school senior might be able to do for that.
