The law says:
"The school district of residence shall, at the request of the supervisor, lend to the home education program copies of the school districtīs planned courses, textbooks and other curriculum materials appropriate to the studentīs age and grade level."
Thereīs no official procedure - you can write a letter or call and ask or stop in the local school. Expect the person you deal with to be clueless about this aspect of the law. Also expect that they may take quite some time to come up with the books.
You can *ask* about teacher keys or workbooks - I donīt think they are obligated to offer you consumables, though in my experience sometimes they have a workbook thatīs only been used for a few days because the student moved, etc., which they may be willing to give you.
I donīt know how teacher keys fits the laws, but it doesnīt hurt to ask.
Remember that you can often find teacher keys etc. on www.amazon.com , and if they arenīt the most recent version they are often quite inexpensive. For many books there is a wide range of support materials available, some more useful to homeschoolers than others.
