I have a friend who will be homeschooling this year who just dropped off her affidavit and the SI just gave her 5 or 6 pages of requirements that she must cover during the school year. The SI also would not accept her affidavit and said that she needs to use the school districtīs affidavit. The SI showed my friend homeschool portfolios that she has in her possession and they are 4 inch thick binders and one was even in a BOX! The SI basically said that it is a lot of work, but that is what she has to do if she wants to homeschool - all said with a big smile on her face. I know this isnīt true, but my friend is feeling very intimidated and is now afraid to homeschool her daughter. If someone could please let me know how to get around all of this, without having involve HSLDA (because she is not a member) I would appreciate it. Thanks so much.
