Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me out here. My daughter turned 6 this year just a few days after Philadelphia passed the new law or bill that would enable them to lower the compulsory school age to 6. I sent the superintendent a "Notice of Intent to Home-school" with the laws printed on it clearly exempted home-schoolers from this if the send in the "intention" and saying that I would file to home-school her before the age of 8. Now, I just received this packet of papers from the school district telling me that my "Notice of Intent" was missing all sorts of documentation, as if they totally misunderstood that I am not filing to homeschool but merely informing them of my intention to do so. On top of that, they are asking for strange things, such as a copy of diploma, proof of grade, etc. What should I do, send back my notice with the law highlighted, since they clearly either didnīt read it or ignored it or what. Thanks!
