Attorney Mike Donnelly of the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) gives an update on the incident. "[T]he Gorber family, whose children were taken away in January, have had their children returned to them by the German youth authorities, temporarily," he explains. "They say that the children can stay home until September 1." The children had been staying in foster homes and youth facilities.HowardDonnelly was asked how well the children have held up considering their circumstances. "The reports I have received from people familiar with the family and who have talked with the children have told me how impressed they are with how strong these children have been, how they have maintained their faith." he shares. "They´ve been able to stay supporting one another, and they consistently say to the officials that they want to go home."
