hi amy... it sounds like you are doing a great job! That is how my daugher
approached learning. It sounds like your kids are extensive readers,
and that is the most important thing. My daughter was like that tooand that
is the way she learned everything, through her reading interests. When she
went on to college English classes, literature, writing, etc... she got all A´s and
she had NEVER had a formal grammar or spelling lesson. She picked
it all up through reading. I never had her do book reports .. didn´t want to
stifle that thirst for knowledge that is so sacred. Yes, math does require
a bit more formal approach, but if your kids are reading, that is most of
the battle. Have fun. Sounds like your kids are learning in a natural manner,
which is what life long learners do. Glenda
