I think it is significant that the issue is not education, but paperwork! These parents never submitted to what they considered an unjust law. The state has once again at the end of a gun intimidated parents into submission. The parents were educating their children, the state is just asserting their ´ownership´ of the child and saying they have more say in these children´s lives than their parents. I´m sure filing paperwork will ensure that education is taking place since it was already occurring. It will only waste this mom´s time and the resources of the school district. I´m sure that superintendant gets paid $75 to $90/hour that now will be wasted reviewing and approving this paperwork that has nothing to do with education, but with the state´s authority over parents. The Founders are rolling over in their grave that we put up with this ´liberty´. I truly hope these parents prevail and NY´s unjust law is thrown out.
