I have been unable to located a homeschooling support group in my local area, and I am in need of advice. This is my first year of homeschooling my 5th and 1st graders. I purchased a workbook based curriculum at the start of the year. Now, both children have completed some of the subjects all ready. I am not sure if I should purchase the next grade level and keep going, or just what to do. I am concerned that maybe the curriculum wasn´t in depth enough and that is why it was completed so quickly.
I am looking for information on where spring testing will be held. My 5th grader needs to be tested this year, and I would like to get her registered asap. I live in central PA, but would be willing to travel.
I am also looking to get in touch with an evaluator to schedule end of year evaluations. Do evaluations need to be completed by someone who lives in my school district? Are there distinct qualifications, or am I able to have any certified teacher do an evaluation?
